On this great day, January 19, 2022, these two lovely humans committed themselves to each other. They chose this day so that their wedding day would forever land on the birthday of Dolly Parton, Katie's Hero.
What started out to be a simple backyard elopement grew into a intimate courthouse wedding followed by a wonderful celebration of friends and family at the Highland Lake inn & Resort.
These two have such a special place in my heart because they were the ones that were there for me more than anyone else as I embarked on my own journey down this beautiful rainbow road.
To say it was an honor to capture their day, would be a great understatement! I cried, I laugh, and I sobbed behind my camera most of the day. Beyond overjoyed!
Abby (Kari's older sister) was in charge of hair.
Jake (Kari's brother-in-law) was in charge of mimosas and serving the cheese.
The excitement slowly started settling in!
After hair was done, they separated into different rooms to get dressed.
Katie had a little surprise for Kari!
(Kari had NO idea that Katie had decided to wear a dress for the big day!!!)
Once they were dressed we got Kari in place, music set up, and everything ready for the first look!
